AI and models

Model changes can affect your discount, service tier and token count. Compare the rate in your contract with the model and service you received.

Did your discount follow you to the new model?

  1. 01Billing

A model change can leave your discount behind.

A new model may be billed at list price even when your order form covers later versions. Check that the agreed discount follows the traffic.

  2. 02Billing

A slower request should carry the lower rate.

OpenAI can move fast-mode requests to standard processing when traffic spikes. Those responses report service_tier as "default" and carry standard rates. Compare them with the requests billed as fast.

A Bedrock discount starts when the offer is activated.

Bedrock private pricing applies only after the License Manager grant is activated. Earlier usage has no discount. Check the activation date against the first invoice at the new rate.

    US-only processing adds 10%.

Claude 4.6 and later charge 1.1 times the token rate for US-only processing. Workspaces that had opted out of global routing moved to US-only. Check whether your data policy requires it.
